The firm officially announced the relocation of its global headquarters from Rhode Island to a new 15,000-square-foot facility on Green Road, situated near the University of Michigan’s North Campus.
The new headquarters will serve as a specialized innovation lab for "Karman," Utilidata's flagship platform that uses real-time AI to enhance power grid efficiency. Supported by a $250,000 state grant, the move is projected to create 25 high-paying technology roles with average starting wages exceeding $37 per hour. By positioning itself in Ann Arbor, the company aims to leverage the city’s dense pool of engineering talent and proximity to the University.
